Spring/Summer Activities:

Swimming:  Shore based and floating docks with ladders. 

Exploring the Lake:  Paddle boat and canoe with lifejackets provided. 

Fishing: Canoe and 12 ft. rowboad (lifejackets provided) available for fishing on Lake.  Large and Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Perch, Calico, Pickerel and Catfish are in lake.  We encourage catch and release; Pennsylvania State Fishing License and regulations apply. 

Hiking & Biking:  Ample supply of dirt roads and trails, either from the Cottage or within a short commute to the NEPA Rails-To-Trails System:  www.nepa-rail-trails.org

Trout Fishing:  Trouphy trout waters of the West Branch of Deleware River are 15 minutes away.  Due to bottom release dam at the Cannonsville Reservoir, stream temperatures support trout fishing throughout the Summer.  Public access points are availabe on the PA and NY sides.  Pennsylvania and New York licensing and regulations apply.

Bethyl Wood Center For The Arts:
Original site of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival, now a beautiful entertainment venue and museum, about 50 minutes away.  http://www.bethelwoodscenter.org/

Winter Activities:

Elk Mountain Ski Resort 15-20 minutes away.

Snowmobiling: Easy access to 200+ miles of scenic trails on the NEP Snowtrails System. www.nepsnotrails.org
Cottage is in sight of Trail F with trailer parking available at Georgie's Poyntelle Inn. 

Snowshoeing: We have two sets of aluminum frame snowshoes avaliable for local use.  Local guided trips are available throug Northeast Wilderness Experience: 570-729-1700 or visit www.newildernessexperience.com.

Eagle Watching:  The Upper Delaware River Region is where an estimated 150 migratory American bald eagles winter during January and February.  Beyond occaisional sitings from the Cottage, visit the following website for more information: www.eagleinstitute.org
